Why Do Entrepreneurs Seem to Have This Exclusive Circle?
Have you ever noticed that entrepreneurs seem to have an exclusive community of their own? They seem to know a friend of a friend, the owner of this and that, the founder of this company and that company. They all seem to share this specific thing that you just can’t to put your finger on.
You’re not imagining things. But it’s not as if it’s totally closed doors and they won’t welcome new people. The reality is - entrepreneurs love to see new faces. They love to make new connections while keeping their old ones. So why do they seem exclusive?
It’s exclusive because of the one massive thing they share. It’s no secret - entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurs feed off each other’s energy. They discuss things, brainstorm and bounce off ideas amongst each other. You know those lines, “You are who you spend your time with” or “Tell me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are”? This is true.
Once you dive into entrepreneurship, you start to see things differently. You start to crave for the company of people who sees things the way you do, who have experienced or is currently experiencing what you are experiencing.
Time and time again, I’ve read emails from people telling me how they’ve received no support from their family and friends which puts them down or make them feel stuck. This is why we value our community so much. Getting support from people who have been through what you’re going through plus support from people who are going through the same thing as you are, is as vital as having the guts to start a business. It takes you from starting something and never following through to sticking it out through the highs and lows of creating a life that you want.
Entrepreneurship is a never ending journey and you need all the support you can get.
